Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited has contributed Taka 3,56,83,356 (Three crore fifty-six lac eighty-three thousand three hundred fifty six) to Bangladesh Labor Welfare Foundation in compliance with the provisions of the Bangladesh Labor Act.
The amount represents 10% of the Workers’ Profit Participation Fund (WPPF) for the financial year 2023–2024.
The cheque was officially handed over to Omar Md. Imrul Mohsin, Director General, Department of Inspection for factories and Establishment (DIFE) at a brief ceremony held at Srama Bhavan, Dhaka, recently.
With this payment, Beximco Pharma’s total contribution to Bangladesh Labor welfare Foundation stands at Taka 23.06 crore, reflecting its consistent compliance with statutory requirements over the years.
Alongside Beximco Pharma, its subsidiary companies—Nuvista Pharma Limited and Synovia Pharma PLC—also made payments of Taka 22,18,096 (Twenty two lac eighteen thousand and ninety six] and Taka 4,76,596 (Four lac seventy six thousand five hundred ninety six) respectively, to the Foundation during the same occasion.
