The country’s readymade garment shipments to major export destinations showed mostly positive performance in the July-August period, the first two months of financial year 2026-27, with overall earnings rising.
RMG exports grew by 5.12 per cent to $7.50 billion, up from $7.13 billion in the same period of FY26, according to data from the Export Promotion Bureau, compiled by Bangladesh Apparel Voice.
Knitwear exports rose by 6.17 per cent to $4.19 billion, outpacing woven garment exports, which grew by 3.81 per cent to $3.30 billion.
