Nearly 4,000 metric tonnes (MT) or 4.7mn litres of diesel have arrived at the Parbatipur Receiving Terminal Depot in Dinajpur from India through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline.
Under a 2018 bilateral agreement, Bangladesh and India agreed to import around 2mn tonnes of diesel over 15 years. Since the pipeline was inaugurated in March 2023, Bangladesh has imported 330,087 tonnes of diesel through it.
