One Bank has decided not to pay dividends to its shareholders despite registering a 14% growth in profit in 2024.
Following the declaration of the dividend filed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today (26 May), One Bank’s share prices dropped by 7.89% to close at Tk7 in the first half-hour of the trading session.
According to the disclosure, the bank reported that its consolidated earnings per share was Tk1.24 last year, which was lower than Tk1.09 in the previous year.
To approve the financial statement and dividend declaration, One Bank will conduct the annual general meeting on 14 August, and the record date is 24 June.
Meanwhile, the bank also published its financial statement for the January to March quarter of the current year.
During the quarter, it reported that the consolidated earnings per share jumped by 56% to Tk0.61 in 2024 compared to the same period of 2023.
