Remittance inflow rises 16.2pc to US$8.98b in July-Oct 4

Bangladesh received USD8.979bn in workers’ remittances during July 1 to October 4 of the current fiscal year (FY2026-27), marking a 16.2 percent increase from USD7.726bn received during the corresponding period of FY2025-26.

According to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, the country received USD388mn in remittances during October 1-4, 2026, compared with USD141mn during the same period last year, registering a 175 percent year-on-year growth
